The conference was also honored by Prof. Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, who delivered a speech supporting international academic collaboration. He emphasized the crucial role of biological sciences in addressing critical global challenges faced by humanity.

Keynote Lectures from World-Renowned Researchers

The first day of the conference began with two keynote lectures from leading international researchers:

  • Prof. Miguel A. Esteban from Spatiotemporal Campus, BGI Shenzhen, China, delivered a lecture titled “The Multidirectionality of Life_2,” which explored cell reprogramming for precision medicine.

  • Prof. Meng How Tan from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, presented on “Reading, Writing, and Interpreting A-to-I RNA Editing,” offering new insights into RNA editing mechanisms and their relationship with human pathophysiology.

Parallel Sessions in Four Key Areas

In the afternoon, the conference featured parallel sessions in four main areas, moderated by prominent international researchers:

  1. Molecular Biology IModerated by Prof. Stephen Dalton (CUHK, Hong Kong) and Dr. Chanchai Boonla (Chulalongkorn University)

  2. Human Diseases IModerated by Dr. Jiranuwat Sapudom (NYU Abu Dhabi) and Dr. Chanitra Thuwajit (Mahidol University)

  3. OmicsModerated by Prof. Sarah Slavoff (Yale University, USA) and Dr. Pattana Jaroenlak (Chulalongkorn University)

  4. Systems BiologyModerated by Prof. Meng How Tan and Dr. Chanat Aonbangkaen (Chulalongkorn University)

Each session featured cutting-edge research topics, such as disease diagnostics using CRISPR technology, cancer studies through omics data, and the connection between microbiomes and holistic health.

The first day concluded creatively and successfully.
